for small to mid-size produce farmers

Interested in growing organic produce? This is the workshop for you! The morning session will walk you through the basics of what it means to grow certified organic produce and what would be required of you a producer. You will also learn about the certification process and what an inspector is looking for. After lunch we will head to a nearby farm where you will conduct a mock-inspection.

Participants will hear firstā€hand from the farm owner on what the certification process was like and suggestions they would offer those considering an organic operation.

  • Registration is free
  • Lunch is included
